Although you couldn’t tell it by looking at official release notes for Twitter’s version 6.54 update, which make a passing mention of “a few minor updates that you didn’t even know you needed”, the app has finally gained additional 3D Touch goodies in the form of Peek and Pop previews within the app. Before today, Twitter for the iPhone and iPad only supported Quick Actions on the Home screen. Jawbone stops making UP fitness trackers, planning a clinical-grade health device

Jawbone, which made a name for itself a decade ago with a lineup of high-quality Bluetooth headsets, has stopped making and selling the UP fitness trackers, according to a report yesterday from Tech Insider.

Sources familiar with the matter have reportedly told the publication that the company has sold its remaining inventory to a third-party reseller, while The Verge adds that Jawbone is now exploring a “clinical-grade health device”…. Read the rest of this post here

Twitter gets Peek and Pop 3D Touch features in latest minor update

You wouldn’t know it from looking at the Twitter iOS app update’s release notes but last night’s update allows for 3D Touch Peek and Pop features on iPhone 6s/Plus. As Twitter puts it:

What’s New in Version 6.54

A few minor updates that you didn’t even know you needed.

In quick testing, the feature works reasonably well for ‘Peeking’ at URLs, images, videos and profiles.

Italian hacker Luca Todesco is once again making waves in the jailbreak community after demonstrating on video a browser-based jailbreak on a 6th generation iPod touch running iOS 9.3.2.

Report: Jawbone has stopped making its fitness trackers, planning a ‘clinical-grade’ wearable

According to a report this evening from Tech Insider, Jawbone, the company once famous for its Bluetooth headsets and more recently known for its Jambox speakers and fitness wearables, has stopped making the UP line of fitness trackers. This includes three devices that the company has reportedly struggled to sell: the UP2, UP3, and UP4. Another report says that a clinical-grade wearable is coming soon…
