A bunch of new ads for the Apple Watch have surfaced on Apple’s YouTube channel

More than half a dozen new commercials for the Apple Watch surfaced Monday on the company’s official channel on YouTube. Titled “Rain”, “Surprise”, “Golf”, “SWAP”, “Find”, “Chase” and “Row”, these ads are fifteen seconds each and showcase specific facets of the wearable device, such as changing bands and switching faces to suit any occasion, fitness and activity tracking and more.

They also highlight specific first-party apps, including the Messages and Workout apps, as well as third-party ones like the Dark Sky weather app while detailing other capabilities of the device such as pinging a connected iPhone right from a glance…. Read the rest of this post here

Apple Music posts anniversary playlist with 40 songs from Apple ads

On April 1, 2016, Apple turned 40. The company’s music streaming service, Apple Music, is celebrating the milestone with a special playlist, titled ‘Apple 40’, that includes forty songs from various Apple ads to “celebrate 40 years of ideas, innovation and culture.”

Some of the songs included in the playlist come from Steve Jobs’s favorite artists—Bob Dylan and The Beatles—in addition to other artists such as Coldplay, Gorillaz and more…. Read the rest of this post here

Every Apple ID account has an Advertising Identifier assigned to it, including yours. When you sign in with an Apple ID on an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Apple TV, Apple reads your advertising identifier so that its advertising system can track you across apps.

Relevant data collected from your devices, along with your Advertising Identifier, helps Apple target you with more personalized interest-based ads.

Siri stars in the new Apple TV ad, ‘The Kiss’

Apple’s just aired a brand new television commercial to promote its fourth-generation Apple TV, and it’s all about voice capabilities that are built into the new set-top box and activated by pressing a dedicated button on the Siri Remote that ships with the device.

The 60-second ad, titled ‘The Kiss’ and starring Alison Brie and Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), is really amusing and well worth watching, but I’ll let you be the judge of that…. Read the rest of this post here

Apple debuts new iPhone 6s ad featuring hands-free Siri with the Cookie Monster

Apple has launched yet another iPhone 6s advert, this time featuring a special celebrity guest: the Cookie Monster. In the ad, named Timer, the blue monster uses hands-free Siri on his iPhone 6s to time (you guessed it) the baking of his cookies.

Although hands-free Siri exists on all iPhones, the ability to say ‘Hey Siri’ out loud without having the phone being plugged in to power is exclusive to Apple’s latest handsets: the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Watch the minute-long commercial after the break …

Apple yesterday shared new information regarding upcoming ad formats on News, its iOS 9 app and content-aggregating platform.

A developer document, titled “Ad Specifications for iAd” (PDF download), highlights several new ad formats that content creators and publishers can deploy in the News format, including so-called native ads which are basically sponsored posts that resemble normal articles and appear directly in users’ feeds inline with regular articles….
